Psalm 77 // I Will Remember

“This psalm felt like two distinct moments in time, where the psalmist transitions from deep despair to strengthened and encouraged. I wanted to reflect the moment in verse 10 where he's reminded of God's power and provision.

A bolt of lightning in the midst of a storm signifies the undeniable greatness of God, as told in verses 16-18. This bolt lights up the room, which would otherwise be in complete darkness, illuminating items on the table. There's a hymnal, to remind him of God's praise (v6). There's an arrow, reflecting verse 17, a testament to God's past mighty deeds. I also included almond blossoms and a shepherd's staff in the room's corner, to signify Moses and Aaron, who are a mirror of God shepherding His people (v20)."
