Psalm 76 // The Preeminence of Our God

“Immediately we see Yahweh resplendent and majestic coming down from the mountains. He descends Mount Sinai with the heavens trailing behind him as he comes in judgment, raising a hand in rebuke. Below, there are the remnants of a city burning and the detritus of an army. At his rebuke the chariot and rider are still and the kings tremble. In the bottom left we see the humble, crying out for his intervention and salvation. We are reminded that the Lord is mighty and hears the cries of his people.”
